Spoonflower
I'm thrilled to have made it into the top 10 for this weeks Spoonflower Terranium challenge. I have to admit that I am a little addicted to their weekly challenges! Here are a few more patterns I have been working on for submission to the up and coming challenges.

Little Houses
I have an amazing Facebook group of artist friends from all around the world. Our meeting was a result of taking part in Lilla Rogers MATS e-course. We decided to start our own Facebook group after MATS finished. One of the fun activities in our group is creating a months prompt or challenge that we work on and submit for critique from the other artists in the group.
This month the subject was houses and we had to create a pattern for the Bolt Fabric industry.
I finished mine today. A little early but I was really excited about getting stuck into it.
I created a print as well as a fabric pattern with my houses.

Floral Wreath Bird Illustration
I've been working on a bird design today. I wanted the bird to sit in a cute floral wreath. Birds and anything floral seem to be quite popular in the kids decor market. I can't decide whether I like the plain white background or the bright pink background better. What do you think?

Colourful Moths
Today I worked on some moth icons - nice and colourful. I think I will turn these colourful moths into a fabric pattern or even a cute print.
New Print and a new Etsy store!
I've been working on a new print. I started it yesterday and with 1 daughter at school and 1 little boy at Grandma's today, I had time to finish it.
Also, I have finally opened my new Etsy store! Yippee. Check it out here.

Girl in the Garden Pattern
I couldn't help myself but put together one more pattern tonight. In this pattern I have used my Girl in the Garden illustration that I will be selling as a print on my Society6 store. I have uploaded my pattern to Spoonflower and ordered a fat quarter. I can't wait to see what it looks like once printed on fabric.
I love creating patterns!
Here are some new patterns I have been working on recently. I LOVE creating patterns. It's fun to come up with a theme and colour scheme, doodle lots of images, illustrate and then arrange them all together to create an awesome pattern. As Lilla Rogers always says 'It's all about the icons!'.

Succulent Plate Design
Today I wanted to share a project I completed for Lilla Rogers Make Art that Sells e-course. This was a really fun project. I would love to see this design on real plates!
We were asked to draw lots of succulents, come up with a killer colour scheme and decorate a range of plates.
Here is my design. This reminds me of summer!

Girl in the Garden
I finished a new print design today which is available on my Society 6 store. I have been playing around with eyes! I've been told by other fellow artists that kids respond better to characters that have large eyes rather than dots! I do dots all the time! It feels a bit odd doing something that you are not used to but with practice, I am sure I will perfect the large eye look.
Preserving Jars
I worked on a print for my kitchen today. I just wanted something simple - cute and colourful preserving jars.
This illustration can be purchased as a pattern on my Spoonflower store or as a print from my Society 6 store.

Zipper Pouch Concept Design
A yucky rainy day in Melbourne today so we all stayed inside. My lovely, helpful husband took the kids so I could work on my last assignment for Part A of Lilla's MATS course. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
It's sad to say goodbye to MATS for a while but nice to have the break to concentrate on my own projects. But I am a glutton for punishment and have signed up for Lilla's bootcamp which starts this week. We have longer to complete the assignments so it's not so intense.
Anyway, I hope you like my zipper pouch design.

Terrarium Illustration
I decided to enter another competition on Spoonflower. This one is a Terrarium pattern. You can view my terrarium pattern on my Spoonflower store.
I have ordered a fat quarter of my pattern. Can't wait until it arrives. I hope the colours turn out well.

Fox Plushie Design
Well I hardly got any work done today. I ended up driving around Melbourne with my assistant Natalie, trying to find a good printing company who could help us with a little project we are working on - plushies, cushions and prints for kids. I'm very excited about getting the first plushie and print done and loaded onto my new Etsy store. Here's a little Fox character I have been working on for a plushie.
